Yeah I definitely don’t get that, I did get the frame rate obsession when it was like everything needs to be consistent 60 but people really pissing themselves over not getting in the hundreds

For full auto people also do a motor for the pusher but my impression is for any select fire programmable stuff people use solenoids

Flywheels are what actually shoots the dart, you need a pusher to push the dart between the wheels and that’s what the solenoid is for, currently just uses a trigger/gear/pusher cycled with a spring for semi auto

Thankfully the Protean is designed to be modular so I can just print and build the new grip/pusher and swap it in with a few pins and wire connectors.

Also impressive as hell it manages to do the whole chaotic destructive gunfight visuals of FEAR on a Doom sourceport, really love that people are making great games with GZDoom
