His message was well received. @eddavey.libdems.org.uk said he didn’t like the term #UnpaidCarers, preferring the term “family carers”. Supporting family to take on care roles is much better and more cost effective than imposing state solutions. Isolation is most challenging for #dementia carers.

Today in Parliament, Chichester’s Liberal Democrat MP @jessbrownfullermp.bsky.social remarks to a member of another party, “We’re here every day! Where are you?”

Then in 2024 we rescued a young #Bengal boy, not unlike your Mowgli, previously kept indoors by an owner who couldn’t cope with his physical energy. Now with access to gardens to explore and mice to catch, he has settled down after nearly a year with us, very intelligent and vocal. #AdoptDontShop

We never forget our dear sweet Minnie, much more than a cat, an empathetic companion through bereavements. She had a long happy life but sadly died in 2023. 💔

New extension to Centurion Way in South Downs National Park near Singleton, West Sussex, UK advising:
“Left is best. Keep to the left for easier navigation and a more enjoyable experience for everyone!”
Good advice in any context.

Fine weather for a cycle ride up Centurion Way today to see the newly opened section to former railway station at Singleton.
Advice to cyclists and pedestrians: “Left Is Best”. Couldn’t agree more!

For the avoidance of doubt, this message ⬆️ means: does your pleasant-looking cat ever get demonstrably angry? Our cat can can be affectionate one minute, then all teeth and claws the next, for no apparent reason. When he rolls over, this is not an invitation.

This Bengal cat has expressive eyes, too. Definitely not an indoor cat, though. Just loves the garden on the other side of the cat flap, but comes bounding over when he sees me.

The cat on my lap is too independent to be obsessed, but does seem grateful to have a safe home and shows it affectionately. #AdoptDontShop

A certain #Bengal has had a relaxing #Caturday busily sleeping. He’s out roaming as soon as it gets dark though.

Margaret Drabble came to Fishbourne Literary Festival in 2018. She read from The Dark Flood Rises, which had just been published, and I interviewed her in front of a sold out audience. She told us it would be her last novel, sadly.

We adopted our #Bengal when he had been incarcerated for 12 weeks in a cattery. Access to the outdoors has made him a much happier cat, able to climb, run, and play among plants and trees.

#Caturday photo of our Farley, who was very tense when we adopted him last year, but has has settled into his new family, relaxed and upside down on a warm summer day.

You can tell Oliver is adored, and he knows it.
Here’s our Bengal, adopted last year, now feeling completely relaxed upside down in his new home.
