It would be if the Indiana Fever traded Caitlin Clark, their generational franchise player point guard, for a defensive All Star power forward (like Napheesa Collier maybe?). And to make it more shocking, the franchise point guard didn’t ask for the trade. And it’s mid season.

They must have wanted to get rid of Smith that badly. I get it- she blasted them online and then changed her entire social media when White showed up, but I thought she was re-energized and hoping to improve.

This is not what the public meant about getting a Dennis Rodman type on the Fever! 😬

This hurts. The optics are so bad. And I have yet to see more than 2 Fever fans that are okay with this. We may have some fans with their heads in the clouds, but we all seem to trend with the common theme of “we don’t support this trade.”

These optics are SO BAD.

This is not great for our fanbase either. I’m not happy with this at all.

As a Fever fan, I’m seriously debating not visiting Gainbridge. We already have a “questionable fanbase” issue and this trade isn’t going to help. If I do go, I’m eyeing my area.

Name me a first round pick that got waived in training camp last year. NIL has made collegiate athletes know their value. Fever can also use their draft pick for an overseas player. Mabrey has been traded for first round picks before and those teams weren’t for the better.

Wait until we figure out the entire trade first. The third team involved is still a mystery
