I don't even game on PC, and prefer my Playstation to play on, but it just feels empty this generation. There isn't much of a community like the 360 had, or the PS2 started. Games are just games now housed inside units. They matter more than the console this gen.

Long story short, PC gaming is where people moved to. Younger generations are buying high end PCs and families are still on their Switch. There is a reason Sony release via PC a lot now. There is a reason Xbox/Gamepass incorporated PC gaming. Influence has shifted and consoles are niche.

I personally think unless stronger streaming markets are tapped with larger libraries that incorporate a PC exclusive space, we are not going to move forward for a good bit there. Nintendo will always be creative and that is the thing to watch, but Sony and MS just kind of exist.

I feel like console gaming outside of Nintendo is trickling down. Things are coming out, but the excitement and rush is kind of over. Games are still great, just not a lot of first party enthusiasm from these two.

I can say I went through a similar string of tragedies years ago and they never seemed to stop. Eventually, there is some sort of normalcy in all the chaos, it just takes time to find it. Your content (among others) helped me with that. I wish you healing, and best of luck forward. You got this.

I mean, I do as i have written them for twenty years now. That said, the medium has been exploited for clicks and bait so much its hard to blame anyone for being a cynic. Everyone is welcome to share experiences. We just need a good reset on intentions.

This, and mainly this. I love sincerely watching low budget movies with massive ideas because you can see the passion that went into them. Now, a movie can't even take risks without extreme critique.

I love DKC3, but I hate the game over screen so much. Man, it was so punishing to sit there and watch those blocks jingle.
