I went with WD Pro Red drives, seems to be a good balance of reliablity:cost.
SHR-1 RAID, which is basically RAID-5 but more flexible (1 drive can fail w/o any data loss).

Synology Office though, 1-click install on my NAS, I was surprised every spreadsheet feature I needed for a document worked (incl. protecting cells for certain users).

For bad movies, I didn't watch it but saw parts, The Fountain of Youth seemed comically bad. My friend who was watching it just gave up 67% of the way in.
