More of the weapons I designed for Rogue Ascent VR! This time we've got the Pulse Rifle, Neutrino Sling, Chemical Syringe, and the Autoinjektor. I had so much fun designing these - SciFi guns really are the best. 😊

The Pulse Rifle: A highly technical weapon system capable of firing dangerously effective pulses of energy. Neutrino Sling: Part Metroid hand cannon, part Portal Gun, and part Gravity Gun. This weapon features a variety of attachments from barrel modifiers to larger capacitors allowing for longer consecutive fire. Chemical Syringe: Starting weapon for the Medic class, this medical device has been modified to poison enemies and provide "health steal" where damage taken from enemies provides the player with small amounts of health in return. Features a wide set of attachment upgrades: optics, barrel mods, and greater capacity chemical vials. Autoinjektor: The chemical syringes older sibbling - this rifle is capable of the same health-stealing poison effects but with superior range and effectiveness. Features upgradable chemical canisters. You won't find this one at your doctors office (hopefully).

There are three magazine upgrade tiers that look like a cross between a traditional mag and a swappable battery comparable to what you find on power tools. Image showing off the "Combat Shotgun" from Rogue Ascent VR. It follows the same red and white color scheme as the Energy Phaser. Ammo capacity is dictated by light indications along the side of the gun which increase as capacity is expanded. There are also a series of attachments such as optics and barrels. The shotgun has a retro futuristic style with a lot of emphasis on the angles and overall form. This image displays the "Panthocean Defender" a triple-barrel pistol from Rogue Ascent VR. It features a blue color scheme and has an aquatic feeling theme that matches the alien origin of the Intel Officer class who starts with this pistol. It features a pattern on the grip that resembles bubbles and tentacle suction cups and greenish-blue luminescent accents. There are a serious of magazine upgrades, the largest being a drum mag that has emissive details making it resemble some sort of under water propellor. The design in inspired by the "SPP-1 Underwater Pistol" originating from the Soviet Union in 1975. This image depicts the "Panthocean Rifle" which matches the styling and color scheme of the Panthocean Defender. The core design is a stylized modification of the FAMAS made to look aquatic and Sci-Fi. There are some additional details that loosely resemble the bioluminescent details found on the Intel Officer's hands which are a three-finger fin hybrid.

I spent tonight's insomnia building this really cool Stray licensed knock-off Lego set I found at Five Below earlier. The quality is actually really great for only being $6. The pieces are clearly direct clones of common Lego bricks.

Snow White even approves of it.🐱😻

Some photos from the Rogue Ascent booth with the art books stacked on our tiny, soon-to-be overloaded table. Been missing these days a lot lately with the current state of things, it was a dream getting to see the game on display and being demoed by people.

Since Tron is trending right now, I feel inspired to share this fun design I quickly put together for the printed back cover of the Rogue Ascent VR art book. The book was displayed at our booth during GDC 2023 and this part was def loosely inspired by Tron and other arcade systems from the 80s.
