They are both on the same side when it comes to aiding a foreign genocide, receiving donations from billionaires and corporations, and funding the police so they can stomp on protesters. I, of course, would rather have a status quo Democrat in the White House than a fascist but don't white wash Dems

And what did all of that achieve for Dr. King? Most of the public had a negative view of him, even up until he was murdered. He also saw how little the white moderate majority was interested in fighting for civil rights, often criticizing the protesters for being "disruptive".

No, resist ICE and protect those they are targeting. If you only care about public reception then you're in for some disappointment when the media manufacturers consent for the government to label every protest "violent".
