The worst of it is post-2.55, when a building burns, a lot of people die, and she doesn't know the meaning of the word "sober" until way later. They talk about hope. Ain't no hope in 3.0. Not much trust either.

From the Empress AU: Her Grace is hungry, and makes it someone else's problem.
“Oh? Oh!” Mustes takes a step back and timidly salutes, self-preservation handily beating his duty to thwart intruders. “I-I suppose there isn’t any rule against that… Pray don’t mind me, Your Grace!” She doesn’t. They cross the utilitarian mess hall -empty of diners this time of day -and pass through a back door into a short hallway, where they’re met with savory smells and the clanking of pots, pans, and other tools her fellow Scions had made her swear to cast aside. For the first time since she’s left Ala Mhigo, her frown lessens a bit. She breathes deeply of whatever it is they’re cooking. A young woman bearing a tray spots them and tells them, “You aren’t supposed to be back here!” “I’m the Empress and I want to eat,” she says. “Very funny, you are.” Then, to her bodyguard, “Will you get this ridiculous aan out of here? We’ve got work to do.” “So have I!” Silently cursing the Ascian, the ring he made her wear, and herself for doing just what he said she would, she takes off her gauntlet and walks right up to the other woman. “I didn’t get this from any old shop.” While Mustes had a helmet to let him keep some dignity, the cook isn’t so lucky; her grimace and ridiculously wide eyes would win many a laugh from the audience if this was a play. Her tray clatters to the floor, and what looks like a lovely batch of dumplings goes to waste. Before the metal has stopped making noise, she’s run through another door, shrieking, “The eikon-slayer’s here!” At least two more people cry out. Something breaks. Norbanus keeps a professionally blank face, but the Highlander rolls her eyes. The clock’s still ticking. She follows the cook and shouts over her, “I just want a quick bite and then I’ll be off. What have you got back here? Joceline’s parents are Witness Tree the archer and Vilma Bloodsipper the marauder. Both are sellswords (that’s how their girls learned to fight).

They met during a tavern brawl. Everyone else had run or been knocked out, so the owner made the last two standing help clean up.
On the right: Witness Tree. He's a Hellsguard archer with slightly tanned skin and a grey beard (he looks a lot like Branden if Branden was a Hellsguard). I always thought Narval was gorgeous.

I had to delete and redo this because I forgot Joceline had zero investment in that whole airship business. Only when she started to reunite with her fellow Scions did things start looking up for her again.

Joceline gets asked to do a naughty charity photoshoot post-6.0 despite everyone and their minion knowing about the scars, so I'll say yes.

From 2.55-5.0, she's a drunk, violent edgelady, and she probably would draw a few "I can fix her but..." types if she wasn't so scary and unhygenic.

Joceline has a goobbue sproutling named Miri. She found her little friend during the pre-Titan hazing; after killing a big goobbue to get the leaf, she saw a smaller one and felt responsible.

She will probably never have another pet, because Miri likes to try and eat things she shouldn't.

The Empress takes a few breaths to steady herself, then dismounts her borrowed ride. “So! Anybody care to tell me what the fuck that was? I’m a simple woman. I don’t know how a troop inspection works, but I’m sure it doesn’t include an assassination attempt!” There’s no answer from the grunts, or Cinna, or his tribuni. She shouldn’t have expected any different, really. Since Norbanus is closer to her than they are, she grabs him first. “Did you know about this? Did you know they were going to try and kill me today?” “I know as much as you do! I just helped you fight!” he protests. “You’d be surprised at the people who’ll make a show of fighting at your side so they can stick their knives in your back! What’d they promise you? A fat purse? Her lance, driven through the Blade’s hand into the ground, both takes care of that and brings her round. Being a soldier, the other woman’s no doubt used to a certain amount of pain in her life, but the element of surprise can get some noise even out of the professionals. A sharp cry proves nap time to be over. “Right, then. I’ll go fight in your stupid trial and save the brat from another of his own shite decisions. And then I’d better get to use this and go on the lash in peace.” Just as Dagmar turns away from the plotting table, Lord Haurchefant cries, “Wait, Jo… Mistress Ratsbane!” “Lord Haurchefant, do you want that knight dead or not?” “There is no need to kill, simply to defeat.” “That’s not what Fray said about the trial she was in.” Dagmar nods to the other woman, who’s been waiting patiently for this mess to be over. Both knights are a little nervous to be around her, the way everybody else who’s met Fray is. You’d think somebody’d be happy Vishap’s killer made a friend in this miserable icebox! But Fray likes to agree with Dagmar that she’s neither a walking weapon nor a nobleman’s fuck-toy -these two wouldn’t appreciate their chances of getting to abuse her dropping even further, would they? Then she realizes everyone is looking at her, waiting. His Radiance, after being told by the people who are actually good at politics that his idea is shite, expects her to help him. “You want to hear what the Weapon of Light thinks after all, then?” “Loath as I am to admit it,” says the Emperor as if every word hurts him, “your contempt for your enemies is matched only by your skill at dispatching them. Were we to unite our forces-“ “Oh, no, I already had to hear that speech from Baelsar! For all I know, this is an Ascian trap. For all I know, this is a Garlean trap. Hells, for all I know, you really do want to defeat the Ascians with the stupidest plan ever, only to turn on me and mine once we’ve saved the day! Wouldn’t be the first time it happened.” There’s a quiet “fuck’s sake” that sounds an awful lot like the Elder Seedseer. From somewhere deep inside, Esteem cries to let him have it. And she does.

I love a whole lot of minions, but in Joceline's canon there's just Miri (who would probably try to eat the others).

Jojo found Miri during the pre-Titan wine quest. She'd just killed a big goobbue to get that leaf, so when she saw a little one, she felt responsible and brought it along with her.

In Joceline’s canon, she’s drunk and/or high on the first and last days of Heavensward, and plenty in between. When she starts asking about Bismarck, the milkroot she’s had kicks in HARD, and she starts thinking she is the real Bismarck and needs to kill the fake that’s threatening her children.

Joceline is a Highlander. Scars = BAMF.

…except for the one she got fighting Omega. That was from her being careless with the jammer, leasing to a malfunction. Since she was too embarrassed to even see a healer and have it removed, only Cid and Alpha (and OMG) know it’s there.

As for the rest:

I wanted my WoL to be tall (tall compared to me anyway), brown, and slightly muscular, with dark green hair.

The hairstyle has changed, and sometimes the color changes (and in 5.X she spent a while with blue eyes), but she’s still very close to what I’d originally wanted.
