I'm the furthest thing from an expert, but I would presume that means it's in some way distinguishable as American gear and he thinks saying it that way makes it sound cool.

I don't even use Google on my PC for this reason, but there's just no fucking escaping their bullshit, which makes it worse.

I have two BA's and an MA, so four to five hours of unskippable online courses reinforcing bullshit finance industry propaganda was infuriating.
Didn't help that it was, of course, targetted at people too poor to have education or even experience with banking.

That's why so many of us have drafts folders absolutely crammed with part-written projects that hit a snag and required some other kind of work to resolve it.
The AuDHD doesn't help, either. Research into one detail usually turns into a massive deep-dive into one semi-related other subject.
