Ironically I cancelled my Economist subscription at some point (now re-subbed) but it put me through an elaborate conversation with a person trying to convince me to stay to do so.

Fair point. It just seems like a strange thing to highlight about your game. A game being expensive to make isn’t inherently exciting (to me at least).

The article states people are spending less on video games but that’s a little shortsighted I think. The long term view is that video games sales have boomed over the last decade and contracted only slightly after covid.

I wish game discounts wouldn’t be so prevalent. Silksong being this cheap makes me just buy it immediately even if I don’t get around to playing it today.

To be fair it might be wise not always to escalate in some tantrum even when being attacked.

The current version is beyond useless. At most I can trust it to set a timer, trying to do more is extremely flaky.

Gotta love updating to a new version as well by having to diff a million files manually.

I wish there was a way to pay for individual articles you land on. While I have several subscriptions I don’t want to subscribe to all of them.

Didn’t they say on one of their podcast they made custom software for this? Possibly open source even?

Yes! Like how Gitlab has a repo for their company handbook that employees pull request to.
