18 // He/Him // Slow beginner artist and yapper extraordinaire. I like Pokémon, so that’s what’ll be the norm.

I love to write in general, mostly about my developing story or academics.

I’m a bit socially anxious, so please be patient.
Best of all is that there’s much to learn! Even what I’ve gone through may be elementary to a professional. Hopefully I’ll get a good chance to self-study or take another class.

For now, I need a good rest from my studies to be ready to prep for finals.

There were some proofs that knocked my socks off, such as how to find an equation for the n-th Fibonacci number using diagonalizable operators and why 1/1+1/4+1/9+1/16+…=(pi^2)/6 using inner products.

Have stronger fundamentals of everything in 1 (and more!) now makes me feel like I’m cutting pizza with a circular saw when I look at the simpler work.
Even so, I was thrown for a loop frequently. Homework was mostly me sitting there in silence and pondering like a philosopher.

A considerable difference between 1 and 2 for me was the difference in enjoyment. The concepts in 1 were never clarified, making me frustrated with learning the subject.
Because everything here is proof-based, I learned far more and won’t ever dare to dismiss the brilliance of the topic.

Unlike the linear algebra everyone is usually required to take, this is much more concept-oriented. Number crunching (my beloved) was replaced with paragraphs of explanation. I would’ve liked to type it, but I don’t know LaTeX yet (really need to get to that).

There’s not much to say for the former because I’d already learned everything there from an online course I look in high school that wasn’t accepted for credit.

LA2 was much more different. I guess the first thing I’ll say is that it’s much more abstract. Check out some of my last homework:

There are also my arm scars from cat scratches. I’m impressed and glad that nobody has mistaken them for anything else.
I like to think that I’ll be 100% scars when I’m old, like a human Ship of Theseus.

Not to sound miserable or anything, but I refrain from looking at myself in the mirror in general, which is why this has gone unnoticed.
I would like to get better at looking at myself, but I’m far from that goal currently.
