The Government of Nepal has decided to deactivate facebook & 25 other social media platform, but it has posted the related information on Facebook itself. Interestingly, the notice also includes its own accounts on the deactivated platforms. Users are mocking it in jest 😂.

Government of Nepal has decided to shut down 26 unregistered social media platforms, including Fb, Insta, X, and YouTube. This follows a seven-day ultimatum issued on August 27, 2025, requiring platforms to register with the Ministry of CIT or face gradual blocking across the country.
