As someone who spends a lot time thinking about the values I want to teach my kid (besides PLEASE DON’T EAT DIRT), the thing I keep coming back to is this: I want him to believe that the strongest, bravest thing he can do is give a shit about other people—especially ones who aren’t like him at all.

Medicare and Medicaid both provide government-funded healthcare but serve different groups. Medicare, launched in 1965, covers those 65+ and has three parts: hospital stays (A), outpatient care (B), and prescriptions (D).

Maybe I'm crazy, but when the new authoritarian leader is executing a blitzkrieg to consolidate power and demolish the pillars of our democracy, maybe the opposing party shouldn't vote for his bootlicking nominees who were selected for their blind fealty. I'm crazy, right?
