Alternative: the top 8 players can (using GEM, after tournament ends) in order of swiss standings choose to take the invite or pass it down (if all 8 pass down, it goes to the void). Play the top 8 for promos and Gold Foil. The problem is wanting the GF but not the invite for those who can't travel.

I hope this come together with the change of having more than one BH/Showdown per year in Brazil. We're completely out of the World Tour system being paired with the USA as 'Americas' and having barely any competitive events available.

The argument is that the 'negate' will fail, because you can only negate something unresolved. However the 'return to hand' part will still attempt to resolve. And the card itself is a legal target.

I tend to agree with this take. FAB is complex enough that learning to play a hero, and learning to play against a hero, go hand-in-hand. Win rates usually won't have meaningful increase over time because of play line complexity, as their opponents also get better fighting them.

That article also mentions "FAB is not a game where you slam a dragon and ride it to victory" and yet Enigma existed.

I get where you are coming from, but I do think it's also good practice to play rigorously. In the PT you have to do it anyway, might as well practice for it right now. And it gets pretty annoying for the opponent to keep track of the state/what happened since talishar is not the best UI

Pure speculation: Invites are all calculated at the end of the season, not in a time-order. So P2 winning the PQ takes precedence over getting an invite from second place of an already invited person.
Though the players in question may/should send an e-mail to LSS and clarify.
