Absolutely. For what it's worth, Network Rail already owns suitably-sized parcels either side of the tracks around here, especially the land between Upper William St and Whitley St.

I'm surprised nothing's being planned to fill this gap in Vauxhall? Demand is going to grow a lot further in this part of Liverpool.

I think adding a new station by Love Lane, built to withstand match day footfalls and incorporate better safety (screen doors) would be a game changer here. (2/2)

There are two glaring coverage gaps on the Merseyrail Northern line near the city centre: Baltic Triangle and Vauxhall.

Baltic is getting sorted, but with all the ongoing and upcoming development north of the centre (Bramley Moore, Liverpool Waters, Pumpfields Regen, "New Town" plan, etc.), (1/2)

I went to their drop-in event in July and I'm really looking forward to using this station!

I do think they could be more ambitious with the roads around it though. The plans I saw keep all 5 car lanes each way and don't provide east-west cycle infra. That eastern exit could be a lot more inviting.
