AFL CIO leadership led its march and rally at Memorial Coliseum on Nov 30, if my memory serves, but rank and file union members were engaged in many different levels.

The streets were cleared by the police with serious violence to make way for Clinton’s arrival on Dec 1.

This is a wildly inaccurate summation of what happened both in the months of organizing that lead up to the WTO, and during the events.

Did a small subset of protesters break a few windows? Yes. Did unprepared police attack protesters? Yes. Was this a casual relationship? Not so much.

Loved hearing you mention this stadium on Hang Up and Listen. Was fortunate enough to watch my nephew call his own number and run for a 60+ yard td. It’s a helluva stadium, but could really use some tlc.
