Tinged a bit by nostalgia, my submission for hexproof:
I like that this card doesn't have hexproof, meaning it's still interactive, but also promises a dream of making a second one to give them both hexproof, which really accentuates the power of the keyword without being broken/unfun on its own.

Not a mechanical reason, but I like this guy for Reach and Deathtouch. Pretty tame for a Futureshifted card, right? That's because this is the first instance of both the Reach and Deathtouch keywords!

A quick Companion Cube update this afternoon. I'm glad to have created a place where KCI was truly good in limited, but I think it's time to try some stuff that isn't quite as narrow (or as miserable to play against)

A quick Companion Cube update this afternoon. I'm glad to have created a place where KCI was truly good in limited, but I think it's time to try some stuff that isn't quite as narrow (or as miserable to play against)

Very dead for Top 8, I signed up for the Open Play round and was paired into @griselbrand.com's The Kuleshov Cube, which focuses on graveyard and enchantment themes while also being devoid of red cards. Managed to snag the trophy with this one!

I was excited about this deck coming out of the draft, and it was a blast to play, despite its 1-2 record. I ended up mostly losing to dedicated creature type synergy decks. A highlight of the draft was casting 7 free spells in one turn off of Thrumming Stone 😍

First up, The Depleted Lands, a desert cube designed by a local named Stephen. I always have a fun time with Old-School-inspired cubes that loosen the hard restriction on frame for cards with the right vibes. P1P1 Animate Dead put me into RB early, followed by a green splash.
