I have realized two things in my time
- Most of the characters I have made in these categories you've illustrated before
- I have not made a reptilian character in a long time.

So have your own art as some options, from TAM to Auriente to Bugman!

I started with the Rats and finished it in a day. Splatterpunk meets creature feature in the best way for a 1974 book. Good if you’re not the feint of heart, as everyone is on the dinner table for the rats out the gate. Really punchy, giving good setup and getting into the pace that’s just right

Got a book store gift card, and stocked up on some titles that I found and one I’ve been meaning to add to the collection. I’ll post reviews as I go down the list.

I started this book (It was in my reccomendations from here!) and so far I only put it down due to other obligations. In the first five chapters I’ve quickly grown attached to the characters, and the struggle they’re going through. Gets a good solid tone and emotional connection!

Seasons of the Goliaths: A Kaiju semi-serial romp set around the city of Greenvale. Three friends and the shenanigans they get into.

Ancient Beasts: When tragedy strikes a Ceratosaurus and leaves her nothing in the wake of a mixed theropod group, revenge becomes Lagerta’s only goal. To kill those that took her life from her.

Fog Horn Blues: It's been over a decade since Suki lost her home to a near apocalyptic event. But when a postcard from a home long gone from a person that should be long dead reaches her, it's time for her to go home and confront what was left behind. Think cosmic horror/whale fall/Silent Hill/Siren

Took a little time to try and doodle this guy, such a funky fella for the poster versus what he was supposed to be!

It was her first time not in a bag, and she did marvelous! She’s currently enjoying the view now in the hotel room.

Baelora and I are headed to AMA! If you’re gonna be in Chicago, swing by and say hello!

Busy time of year with work, but I've gotten the chance to see two new fantastic movies for the first time! They are going to influence what I write for a long time I think. (I also began rewatching the Indiana Jones movies which is always a fun time).

Meant to share this yesterday, but I’ve got a new friend! Say hello to the TLA Megacerops. One of the liveliest of the family I’ve ever seen model wise! Eofauna Deinotherium for scale!

And if you're like me, looking for more, I have two books to recommend for you. One is Beasts of Eden by David Rains Wallace, a predecessor of sorts published back in '05. And if you're wanting more narrative scenes of lost worlds, Otherlands by Thomas Halliday. My favorite is the Antarctica one!

I've just finished the audiobook version of The Rise and Reign of the Mammals by @stevebrusatte.bsky.social during the holiday travels over the last few weeks. I'd seen the book on the shelves in bookstores, but had an opportunity to give it a try through Spotify. And I'm glad I did!

Yoinked this from elsewhere, but I haven’t seen a surprising amount of movies and figured this could be fun

One of the things that I’m aiming to make time for is a new interest that’s taken my mind: Carnivores Modding. In particular angling for a forgotten section of both category and Burian art combined. Is this ambitious? Yes. Going to try it out still.

And for the fun of it, here’s the monster collection (Minus one fella added since) that take the other shelves up.

The Paleozoics and Crocs line up the rest, the smallest that now sit high and mighty. And these make up the prehistoric and few modern animals in the collection!

And here we reach the Top of the Bookcases! This shelf is the aquatic wildlife and the Too Big Dinosaurs! Keep a few fun lads up here that used to be on the bottom shelf and now can be seen!

Next is the Theropod Crash next to the Cenozoic Cacophany! I like to think that both are a bit eclectic in their variety and icons here. I’d like to diversify the mammals here a bit more.

The next shelf is a bit more of a cluster of families, as the shelves are shared with the Kaiju collection. These are the Sauropods and Ornithopods, with armored dinosaurs in the front and then Iguandonts and hadrosaurs.

It is paired up with my alignment of Ceratopsians, and cornered by the Mold-a-ramas that I’ve gathered in my adventures in Chicago. It’s getting to a point of relocating the Mold-a-ramas for full ceratopsian/margocephalian visibility. And so I can add more.

The first section is the elephant parade, one of my favorite parts! A range of figures, soon to get an upgraded Woolly Mammoth and you know I gotta snag that new Eofauna Columbian Mammoth when it drops.
