Living around 66-70 million years ago, it has been hypothesized that they would have used that big skull dome to headbutt each other like bighorn sheep or musk oxen, a good way to assert dominance

This terrifying giant had one of the most powerful bites in history, capable of crushing bone with a force of up to 8 tonnes—that’s like the weight of an African elephant pressing down on you!

Even though its name means the “Arm Lizard” it is the neck of Brachiosaurus that really steals the show. One of the largest animals to ever walk the Earth, the sauropod (‘lizard foot’) family really tipped the scales when it came to massive reptiles.

Although not dinosaurs themselves, Mosasaurs are a fascinating group of Mesozoic reptiles that dominated the seas of the late Cretaceous. With powerful jaws and muscular tails for swimming after food, Mosasaurs were apex aquatic predators.

Pictured here is one of our clutches of dinosaur eggs. Coming to us from France, each of these eggs is about the size of a cantaloupe melon.

A new addition to our gallery at Dino Lab is a beautiful slice of the Admire pallasite meteorite!
Hailing from the state of Kansas, this meteorite sample has been expertly polished to highlight olivine crystals suspended in a web of nickel-rich iron. The overall effect is similar to stained glass.
