Watching a friend slowly fade away... It's so painful. I'm trying everything I can do to keep her holding on for one more day. It's killing me to see her giving up. I want to give up. But it's not so easy. She doesn't know it's easy to stay alive. She just knows that this feels like the end.

It's with a heavy heart that I write to you today. Yesterday morning one of our foster kittens passed away.
She started showing signs of an upper respiratory thing last Friday and by Saturday wasn't eating. We syringe fed her and did everything we could do. But to no avail.

It's a delight to see people's faces light up when they realize that they did indeed see an incredibly cute kitten protruding from some hairy man's jacket in the produce section.
