The footy gods have a wonderful knack for restoring harmony.

I grew up with Zach, not a bad u10s basketball team if you ask me. He was awesome at everything.

I originally had your view, however I rewatched the game last night & re-watched the incident a few times. Naughton definitely went past the ball & would absolutely get weeks if it were regular season.

You’re kidding haha. Wow.

I posted a video of some great Essendon grabs on my profile a couple days ago. It’s a great watch. There’s an enormous one by Simon Madden that I love.

The funny thing about Scott Lucas right foot kicks in that one/it resulted in potentially the greatest ever Essendon mark!

Gee I hope his boy turns out to be a jet!

Nice Humey. I’d love to see some stats regarding consecutive years in top 5 of a club B&F…

Pretty much me except I couldn’t get a kick in a stampede.

We’re football nuffies Humey, not scholars of literature.

I liked your take on Tsatas in this episode Jesse. Pretty sure we’ve had (had) a Brownlow medallist with similar attributes. Unbelievably good in close. First touch off rucks hands. Clearance machine. Questionable kick…?

That’s the exact point I’m trying to make. Edwards is going at 2 goals a game in the WAFL. Which is a far lower standard than VFL. Sure he kicked 4 in a half, of a scratch match against opposition that was probably 30% of an AFL side. I’m just trying to remain objective.

Fair call. However the 2nd half of Baldwin’s 2023 season completely sold me on him. Prior to that he was playing as a forward. Yes his body has let him down but I truely believe he is good enough for AFL. I haven’t watch any of Edwards play until today, and to be honest, neither has anyone else.

2023 was a complete season of GREAT VFL footy. 2022 was almost a complete season a great footy. Mind you, I watch all VFL games & have for a few years now.

Does Tom Edward’s half of footy automatically leapfrog Baldwin’s several seasons of good footy?
February 15, 2025 at 11:02 AM
10. Baldwin has proved time & time again that he’s good enough. Does Edward’s half of footy automatically leapfrog Baldwin’s 3 years of good footy?
February 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM
Baldwin has proven time & time again he’s up to it. Edwards played one good half. Does that half leapfrog years of good footy from Baldwin?

Hardly a failure. Averaged 30+ possessions & 6+ clearances across three consecutive seasons ‘21, ‘22 & 23’. Injury got him last year & this season hasn’t even started. Still a chance he plays a lot of really solid football for us in 2025.

How did Baldwin go?

The Cobden footy factory strikes again. Always thought that about Langford keeping his feet.

Well done guys! Could I ask why you post some episodes on Soundcloud? As opposed to just free Patreon & Spotify episodes?
