I watched your music videos on YT. Very good. I like you and your wife's attitude and sense of humour, and the songs are all catchy.

I'm not sure how it works exactly but there's something in what you say. I don't know if it's the universe having your back, but it's possible to make things happen, for sure, by force of will or something.

No doubt you're right, but I don't even know what the dispute is about. I've ignored it because I'm just not interested in it.

I'm not interested in arguing with people about politics. I think it's pointless. I hate both the left and the right, for different reasons.

There's nothing like creating. There's an exhilaration when you crack something – when the pieces fall into place and everything comes together. When it doesn't come together it can be incredibly frustrating.

It's weird. I've never been interested in playing games, nor in watching films or TV. I did watch TV in the past, when I was young, but I don't now. The same with films. Never really that interested, but I have of course seen many films, but not recent ones.

My wife kept saying she loves Severance, so I agreed to watch a couple of episodes, but I hated it. She said it's all about the characters and how they interact and the questions it throws up. But I'm not interested in the characters. I felt the time I spent watching it was wasted. I don't watch TV.

Most people can't be bothered. They only follow other accounts because they have some idea that it will help them gain followers themselves. It's all grift and basically a wasteland of pointlessness. I hate it. I don't know why I even come here, and most of the time I don't.

I don't use Spotify I'm afraid. I know I could download it but do you have to pay to use it? I'm not interested in paying for something like that. I don't really listen to music that much. I'll listen to things on YouTube, and also Bandcamp to an extent. But mostly I prefer creating things myself.

I'm very much behind the curve. I hadn't appreciated until now that things have moved on to this extent with mobile music. I wouldn't try to use Koala to make finished tracks, but it's perfect for me in terms of making random samples I can import elsewhere, and I find the interface quite pleasant.

I haven't tried your app yet and maybe the concept you have for it is different to that of Koala, because you say that you think of yours as being primarily a toy for practice purposes. In my case, I downloaded Koala and it's bloody good. I can see myself using it quite a bit to make samples.

Is it connected with the 'New Year'? I felt gloomy yesterday. I've never liked NYE and I've never liked January. December is nice to me, and it's nothing to do with Christmas, because I don't like Christmas either. December just feels different. The 'New Year' means you have to do things.

I've joined many social media sites in my time, but never seem to get to grips with them. I got into Mastodon for a short time (I said on someone's post that I hated the Alesis HR16 drum machine, and Anton Newcombe replied saying he owns 4 of them!), but then got bored. I'm bored with Bluesky now.

Thanks, I will download it to try it, for sure. I'm now also interested in the Koala Sampler app, which does do what I enquired about. I'd not heard of it before. Considering that it's free, or almost free, it seems too good to be true.

It seems as if it would be interesting to use. I'd be tempted to make things with it to use as samples, but I don't see any facility for exporting anything (audio) from it. Is that something that could feasibly be added?

I like it. Good tempo, chunky sound. I like the minimal beat, just BD and HH.

I love turning that corner. When that happens, after I've been wrestling with something, sometimes for far too long, I always say to my wife, "I've cracked it." It really is like unlocking a safe, with all the jewels inside.

I was guilty of this. I gave out bland praise to someone. Later, I thought I hadn't been forthcoming enough, but was then too critical. I wish I could have hit the right note in the first place.

It's weird. Sometimes it sounds great the night before, but rubbish the next day. But then sometimes it sounds like rubbish the night before, but great the next day. What you want is for it to always sound great, whenever you hear it. And not too fast and not too slow as well. That's another thing.

I agree with you. I don't watch modern films and TV at all, and definitely a part of it is that I HATE the horrible, intrusive orchestral music. I also hate the posters, which always have the faces of the actors, in a line. And of course every review is 4 stars, but it's all garbage.

Interesting. I'll have to look into this. I'd been tempted by the advertising for the latest generation Scarlett. I'm still using an ancient Audiophile 24/96 PCI card. It has no mic inputs, just line in/out and SPDIF in/out. That's one thing I do need: SPDIF input (I have a lot of old DAT tapes).

Sounds a bit like horses clip-clopping along on gravel.
