I think what sums me up as a singer is that I simultaneously want more head voice in musical theatre and more chest voice in opera. We don’t need to be afraid of doing natural things with our voices!!

I think the funniest (?) thing that’s happened to me recently on social media was the time a mer mutual w a big account, who I’d also considered a friend, blocked me because I was too excited about Wicked & not excited enough about merfolk (imagine telling ME off for that). Deeply deeply unserious!

I get to debut an original mermaid character this weekend! I was gonna have this mersona be similar to my existing one (basically Me but a mermaid) but I really wanna flesh out a fun backstory and name for her. Very pumped as her entire look is purple, head to fin - I might call her Amethyst! 💜🫧

Everyone I work with is in Pennsylvania so they are very much all abuzz now that they get to do their big game again. I am the sole Minnesotan/recovering Vikings fan like I have no skin in this fight and just have to accept my lot in life and begrudgingly go “…go birds! 🙂” 🤣
