Yes. It works. We have 4-5 of the mobile units for remote projects. (Alaska/Wyoming/Montana/etc.) Also, just came back from a fishing trip out of Sitka. The captain had it on his boat. Had service to at least 6 miles out into the Gulf of Alaska.

A gas powered pressure washer will remove everything attached to the concrete. If your friend knows how to operate it you may avoid damage to the brick/handrail/doorframe. I suggest spraying it with a bleach mixture before pressure washing.
