Good man, Vinny.
Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany has said Jose Mourinho made a “huge mistake” in accusing Vinicius Junior of inciting an incident that ended with the Real Madrid forward alleging racist abuse.

Strong recommendation: From 2024, Hurray for the Riff Rafff's amazing 2024 album, 'The Past Is Still Alive' - evocative, provocative, charming, accessible - not a bad song on there.

4 months into the season it really looked like a tap-in for Arsenal to win the league, after 22 years. City inconsistent, Liverpool adjusting to their new signings, Villa, Chelsea, good but not quite at it 100%. But, here we are - 12 or 13 games left to play and it's now in City's hands.

Alot of things have happened while I wasn't active on Social Media. One thing that is worth noting is that Steven Drozd has left The Flaming Lips. A musical genius who brought such amazing soundscapes to the Lips's music - really looking forward to hearing future solo efforts from him.

Just seeing the news this morning about Prinz Andrew - yikes. Whenever I'm feeling bad or need cheering up, I watch his disastrous Newsnight interview. It's just mind-boggling how anyone (mainly himself) let him do it and how ill-prepared he was for most of the Qs. #StraightforwardShootingWeekend

I've missed being able to have an outlet for my thoughts and comments on things - for my own posterity if nothing else. So, I've decided to re-activate my BlueSky account and see how things are here.

Just finished playing 'It Takes Two' by Hazelight Studios, with my 7 year old son. What an amazing game, so inventive, amazing variety of gameplay, lovely story and great couch co-op.

An awesome playlist of Canadian bands that my sister-in-law curated. One I've had on rotation for years. 🎧

The only indirect disappointment I have from hearing the new Beatles single, 'Now and Then', is that there isn't any additional music. It's so great to hear such a quality tune, I could do with a full album's worth of new Beatles tunes. 🎧

Excellent set of comments here from the Guardian readers, relating to the wonderful David Squire's latest Halloween-themed football comic strip.

Despite having watched the trilogy numerous times, this video by Prime's Theater brings a fresh perspective on the wonderful movies that make up The Lord of the Rings. Kudos to him.

Not long back from watching Scorsese's 'Killers of the Flower Moon'. An incredible movie, with a career-best performance from Leonardo DiCaprio. Genuinely felt like the was no screen between the viewer and him, watching him play this role. Tough to watch at times, of course, but highly recommended.

Speaking of the best of Radiohead's catalogue, here's mine in order of personal preference. So difficult.

1. Kid A
2. Amnesiac
3. In Rainbows
4. Ok, Computer
5. Hail to the Thief
6. A Moon Shaped Pool
7. The Bends
8. Pablo Honey
9. King of Limbs

How does that sit with people? 🎧

Took a long time for me to get into this album (Radiohead's 'Moon Shaped Pool') but it's right up there with the best of their catalogue. 🎧

Speaking of Patti Smith, what an incredible run of output this is from 1996's 'Gone Again' to 2004's 'Trampin''. Hard to say which is my favourite to be honest - all excellent. 🎧

Coming to this very late but listening to, and enjoying, Filthy Friends' 'Invitation'. A cool blend of Patti Smith and PJ Harvey, with its own vibe also of course. 🎧

Really getting into Sufjan Stevens' new record 'Javelin'. Full of emotion, wonderful melodies and glorious instrumentation. Highly recommended. 🎧
