Today’s adventure in “YouTube Made Me Do It”: chocolate chip cookies at 7AM.
They’re edible, which is about all they have going for them.
The video was correct in that they weren’t hard to make and didn’t take very long, but they did not turn out like my grandma’s.

We discussed his current and future health, his age, and prognosis with our vet. It was clear the hardest decision was the necessary one.
Yesterday afternoon we said goodbye to our Old Man Cat (13! That’s 8 additional years of chaos than projected!).
He is very much missed.

The meds and fluids helped, but he wasn’t bouncing back like he normally did. We got him into the vet and were expecting better meds or a new treatment for his CKD.
We were not expecting intestinal lymphoma. A huge mass in his abdomen. Tests confirmed. One last gotcha from the Lord of Chaos. /3

Her latest quirk is the blind that covers “her” window. I raise it every morning and lower it in the evening. For some reason the last couple of weeks, once it’s lowered, she gets up on her seat and paws at it until I raise it again. She stares out into the darkness for a bit, then leaves. /2

Pequeña is very insistent on her cuddle time. It must be done at a precise time and for as long as she requires (this varies as she sometimes has other things to oversee). Tonight was on the couch, in my lap, and I had to hold her paw with my right hand. The left hand was unacceptable. /1

Got an email from @repbonamici.bsky.social this morning asking if I support or oppose Mango Mussolini’s militarization of DC. I not only oppose everything that guy does, I called ALL my reps to voice support for both bills mentioned in the congresswoman’s letter. @wyden.senate.gov
