Car towed home. arrived at home by 11 pm. The next day we towed car to a local car repair. Found that our transmission was beyond repair. The cost to replace was way too much. Contacted the credit union to get a loan for another car. The day after a 2023 rogue was purchased by us ending our saga. /6

Then we called good Sam insurance for a tow. It quickly became night. trucks were constantly whizzing by. Each time a truck would pass our car shook. Yet another trucker pulled over in case we needed help. We assured him that helpwas on it’s way. Two hours later a lost tow truck finally arrived. /5

I was unable to get it entirely off the road, and the traffic was busy that time of day. Luckily, a trucker pulled in front of us. He ran back to me and told me to put my car in neutral, and he would push the car off the road for safety. When he left the day became dusk. I flicked on the hazards. /4

The car was steadily getting worse. I sent up a silent prayer, “help us get home safely.” I was ecstatic when we passed walker lake. Next stop would be Fallon. after Fallon we would be home. Unfortunately, the car quit between walker lake and Fallon by 4:45 pm. I steered it to a narrow shoulder. /3

Each time I passed I accelerated. Acceleration caused the car to lurch forward and then slow down. Not good when traffic is hurtling toward you. I would put the car on cruise control on the straightaways. It would drive smoothly until any inclines, and once again it lurched forward & slowed down. /2
