We're in a weird spot where we have lots of good but unreliable rotation options. Tricky to strike the balance of not repeating last year but leaving room for the guys that do work out.

Agreed. It feels like a different axis than career performance. Like, I understand it being disqualifying or not disqualifying but making it a factor feels wrong.

I grew up around some political people in the NY suburbs. The local people were alright (small to medium corrupt sometimes but alright), the rare federal people were alright, and the NY state govt people were almost entirely offputting weird assholes.
Granted my entire hometown was assholes.
