Israel’s war on Gaza shattered the illusion of moral exceptionalism, that it was a victim-state defending itself. AIPAC openly threatens dissenting politicians. Protesters are smeared. Europe complies. But global opinion shifts and even in the U.S. cracks are showing across left and right.

Israel emerged from the ruins of the old world as a colonial project. The Holocaust taught survivors brutal lessons: "survive at any cost". But instead of targeting their oppressors, European Jews displaced and attacked others, with help from global powers. A tragedy repeating tragedy.

I’m cognitive enough to know the difference of USSR with Russia. Cognitive enough to acknowledge the death of 24 million ppl who fought the nazis. Some people aren’t, I know. It is what it is.
