These massive guiding walls and pits show that hunter-gatherer communities in Europe organized collective labour and reshaped landscapes on a monumental scale.

They coordinated movement, terrain, and animal behaviour, turning the landscape itself into a hunting machine.

The phallus is the signifier of sexual difference. The attitude that a child adopts toward the phallus will determine their sexual position. The male position (regardless of biological sex) is defined by the desire to have the phallus; the female by the desire to be the phallus.

The phallus signifies symbolic castration, the price for accepting language. The phallus places the bearer in a position to wield power. But there yawns a gap between him and the symbolic position that grants him power. A gap between what I am (a primate) and the symbolic mandate (king, professor).
