On a side-note it is GENUINELY fucking depressing that the best palette change in the game is shiny-locked. Thanks, TPC.

Of course, there are still a lot of shinies in Pokémon that I really do love and I wouldn't change for the world, like Trevanant, Gossifleur, Tyrantrum, Ninetales and Volcarona. But there's a lot of shinies that are in desperate need of a glow-up. I hope they get the attention they need one day.

It was harder to get good results for some more than others, and I did end up having to bend the rules I set for myself with two of them. But honestly, I would be okay with Gamefreak just doing something like this for most of the shinies considering how often they're on a time crunch.

Sometimes I really be thinking about how Scarlet & Violet's shinies just...don't really shiny all that much. Like, there's little to no discernable changes. I was curious how much better they could be if you just took the original colour scheme and moved the hue slider and this is what I got.
