I did a quick #TutTutVroomVroom optimization, averaging 400FPS (unlocked, ultra, FHD) on my machine... and it runs much smoother on older computers (let's say 60 fps is almost guaranteed unless you're on ultra). I'll upload a build tomorrow, I promise!
Also, the drift is progressing:

There's still a LOT of work to do on the #TutTutVroomVroom "Graveyard Drift" map. I've had to spend quite a bit of time perfecting my multiplier system (and my driving skills)... the environment is slowly taking shape, the UI and drift overlay will follow... #unity #gamedev #indiedev

I accidentally made my camera fixed, funny, unplayable... but it can give ideas. I'm working on Drift mode, the HUD will be more complete and nicer with Angle, multiplier, cooldown, points on the current drift, total points, etc etc... #TutTutVroomVroom #Unity #Gamedev

I implemented a small "Drift Assist"—subtly present in quite a few games—that automatically stabilizes the car by countersteering, without inhibiting player input (the assist is adjustable and can be disabled). Check out the input in the bottom left corner.
