I share your hatred for Hasan, but no American should have their right to freedom of speech infringed upon. The government doesn't get to control what you say, even if it's rape denial and sympathizing terrorists because they're anti-West.

About time. The recent government's anti- high skill immigration stance is, to say the least, bizarre.

On par for Greenpeace, the anti-science anti-progress fossil gas-selling organization

It has even produced nonorganically in lab experiments:

The team behind the claim argues that such reactions couldn't produce the amount of DMS they find on K2-18 b. But it's a massive caveat that should be stated upfront and reported properly!
Abiotic Production of Dimethyl Sulfide, Carbonyl Sulfide, and Other Organosulfur Gases via Photochemistry: Implications for Biosignatures and Metabolic Potential
Among the atmospheric gases that have been proposed as possible biosignatures in exoplanetary atmospheres, organosulfur gases are currently considered one of the more robust indicators of extant life....

On Earth, the compounds, DMS and DMDS, have only been known to be produced by life, but there is evidence they could be produced through nonorganic means elsewhere in the universe.

DMS has been detected on a comet:

K2-18 b could have dimethyl sulfide in its air. But is it a sign of life?
Fresh data from the James Webb Space Telescope provide more evidence for what some consider a biosignature — but debate is sure to follow.

Same idea as shorting a stock, but better % reward if your bet was right within the timeframe

Yeah, finding 'car seat' is a booster seat makes a whole lot more sense💀💀

spectacular footage, thank you for streaming your dives for everyone!

Not really, the image model generates based on the user prompt. It could also generate something in the style of the right image, provided that association has been learned internally. The output reflects the training data, sure, but the prompt is leading.

IMO framing is half the magic. Microadventures sound infinitely cooler than going for a walk

How much genetic difference is there really between different species? I read a NewScientist article which said the wolf genome is 2.4 billion base pairs long, but googling the number of genes gives around 20k. So when scientists say the DNA is 99.5% shared, what are they talking about exactly?

Unfortunately that's the predominant position of silicon valley technochrats. They've completely abandoned any attempts at climate mitigation, praying for an ASI god to provide salvation for their sins

Yeah, and I am stating that inference is racist. Calling someone a Russian plant for having a Slavic name is weird af and makes no sense in the scenario

Fuck off, next up Chen is a CCP agent and Hershel is in control of the WEF. People can be racist dumb assholes regardless of ethnicity.

None of this makes the sentiments shared in this post okay. Generalizations and blaming someone for something they didn't do ain't cool

Wow, TIL Quisling is not just a Norwegian term!

I, and many others based on the replies, didn't interpret it as the same person saying "there's a male loneliness epidemic", but rather implying the parts above being the cause of male loneliness. And many people in highly liked replies being openly misandrist. Keep that shit on Xitter
March 20, 2025 at 6:42 PM
Clearly not everyone interpreted this meme the way you did.
March 20, 2025 at 6:37 PM
The scientific term for "male loneliness epidemic" is natural selection
March 20, 2025 at 6:35 PM
Let's call this what this is: misandry. Your feelings are valid, just like an elderly Korean hating someone for being of Japanese ethnicity, but that doesn't make them right. You are discriminating based on an immutable trait if you can only share empathy for women's loneliness.
