This is the WIP that I'd faved, before this piece came out.
I would SWEAR it was lion king art tbh, because i was also in that fandom, but this sketch of Brisby could very well genuinely be the first "furry" piece i ever saw, not counting anthro zora OCs

I was in the "Zora" fandom and saw a ton of "anthro" art related to Zoras, so furry art wasn't shocking when I saw it. This is the first one in my faves that qualifies as furry, but I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't earlier works.
