In our latest study with P. D'Este, we show that:
➕Failed experiences foster social proximity between orgs
➕Orgs are reluctant to abandon established R&D ties despite funding rejection, to recoup their search and proposal costs
➕Those ties are especially sticky when partners are cognitively distant
