If you look around, you’ll find public schools helping Muslim students feel comfortable fasting in Ramadan in ways that’s not proselytizing or detracting from the school day. In a time when DEI is in administration’s crosshairs, it’s a balm to the soul. @rns.org

Every Ramadan, more US schools are embracing the needs of fasting Muslim students
(RNS) — Public schools are learning to empower their Muslim students so they can be their authentic selves in a place they spend much of their lives.

The executive orders are coming fast and sometimes it's hard to discern what are real threats and what are smoke & mirrors. Two orders in particular are worrying Muslim, Arab, Palestinian and several other minority Amerian groups in this country. My latest for RNS.

What could be worse than the Muslim ban? Plenty.
(RNS) — Trump's executive orders are open to interpretation, making it difficult for Muslim communities to discern what is smoke and mirrors and what is meant to deflect from something else.

Banning TikTok was Trump’s thing in his first term. Now he’ll get accolades.

I get that this app is very important to those who have done good and have livelihoods because of it. It also has a bad underbelly. I wish sensible gun laws would get such attention/action.

Having a guy who is 15 months into arming & funding an active genocide brag about his human rights legacy is just about the most Orwellian and contemptible act of political theater I've seen in my life.

There have been many horrible atrocities in history, but if you told me you could livestream the systematic shredding of children EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. for over a year and the world would just let it continue, I would've called you a liar.
