In 2014 NASA’s New Horizons mission photographed an unusual object in the Kuiper Belt. Called a contact binary, the object was formed by two icy planetesimals that collided and stuck together.

We also made slime from school glue, baking soda, and contact lens solution, but I didn’t get any photos of that.

Needlebeards completely lack the glowing lure of other anglers. Additionally, their jaws are covered with long teeth outside the mouths. It’s not known what they eat, but their teeth may act as a cage to catch gelatinous prey.

Wolftraps, also called Wonderfish, have their glowing lures located on the roof of their mouths. They also have wide upper “lips” that can flip down to form a cage around prey lured into their mouth.
