Wouldn’t the opposite of wokeness be sleepiness? Why aren’t we using that against republicans??

Best advice I received was to ask the vet, “what would you do if this was your cat?”

With division, you can do the same thing with manipulatives. The whole is either broken into a number of groups OR groups of a certain size. 15/3 could be 15 divided into 3 groups (count the size of each group) or 15 divided into groups of 3 (count the number of groups). Hope this helps!

It helps to think of the x symbol as “groups of” or “copies of.” Like 5x3 is 5 groups of 3. You can work with blocks or marbles or anything to have your kid made equal groups. This supports with conceptual understanding, and flash cards help them memorize their facts!

I watched it and then my husband wanted to watch it and so I pretended like I hadn’t seen it and had the pleasure of watching it all over again 🥰🥰

Watching a group of 3rd and 4th graders try to remember those names is actually hilarious though.

As a teacher, I love that you’re doing this and allowing them the space to question. Polite but not kind is genius, and it’s incredible they’re identifying it for themselves. Empathy is incredible hard to teach, and it sounds like your boys have it!
