Work destroys fun. I was a music journalist in my younger years. After years of going to gigs with the only task of reporting/critiquing them, it took a long time to get back to just enjoying them again

Funny, working on magazines in the 80s, where the staff were predominantly young men, there was no kickback as I recall. Just appreciation of what an amazing game it was

Running my first sub 1hr 10k at the ripe old age of 52, having taken up running the year before after treatment for heart disease. First half marathon next month - anything under 2.20 will make me proud.

Yes. The rods lie. It's about 40% what they claim at full bend. But resistance is resistance. The body doesn't know what you're pulling against. If you want to make the rods more true to life, look up Eric Bek on YouTube.

Skyrim VR was transformative. Got me through the first lockdown when I found myself alone for two months. Spent many a find hour in a VR tavern with a pint of actual beer, watching the world go by.
