if you go paid route they have a cool plugin called mmorph that morphs two different sounds together. kilohearts.com kilohearts are similar to melda where they have a free bundle which is great but then have a complete paid bundle that has much more. it goes on deep sale often. hope this helps!

www.meldaproduction.com/MFreeFXBundl... the melda free bundle has a lot of great stuff. the waveshaper can get a lot of messed up sounds and all of their stuff is high quality. the mratiomb is cool and can separate a sounds noise/tonal elements from each other leading to interesting results.

maybe obvious but reversing some sort of bassy synth sound that has a strong transient attack so that when you reverse the sound that strong transient is right at the end and gives a nice quick swell into a thwip.🫡

I read a great method from George Vlad i think of just taking a picture of the recorder once you’ve started recording. that way if you have any doubts just check the picture.
