Update, its blurrier, colorier, and betterer!
The above song selection UI, but each button uses the song's album art as a background, with a Gaussian blur applied to both that image, and the 3D environment behind it, making it appear sort of like frosted glass.

An in-progress song selection menu for my game. It overlays the 3d scene. Each button is semitransparent with a dark grey background and a green border. The top button selects a random song, and the ones below list each song individually. There are only 2 songs at the moment but I haven't added scrolling functionality anyway so its fine for now.

state.gd, a script from my game. On the left is what I had just this morning. A mass of export variables and if statements dictating which state to transition to from a combination of inputs. On the right is the script after today's work. 90% of the export variables are gone. And the monolith of if statements has been reduced to three button checks.

I JUST DID MY FIRST WINDBOMB IN BREATH OF THE WILD AFTER LIKE 50 FAILED ATTEMPTS FUCK THIS DUMBASS CONSOLE FOR NOT HAVING GYRO ON ITS "PRO" CONTROLLER
The shrine in breath of the wild next to akkala stable done without gyro because I'm playing on Wii U and don't have a real Wii U Gamepad and had to make do with a pro controller* which infamously doesn't have motion capability. Had to windbomb across the gap instead. *(the pro controller in question is my ps5 controller connected with bloopair, but the Wii U sees no difference so I still can't use gyro)
