Yeah, but when I weigh the options, is that character worse than the character of someone who is currently pro-genocide and will vote for funding more genocide? Like I said, I hope there's another good progressive option but I don't feel good about voting for Mills

That's totally fair. If I thought there was another good option I would jump ship, but he still seems like the best bet for progressive values. There's still time so I hope someone else can build some momentum.

Best case scenario is he's a dumbass who would vote for progressive shit like M4A and against genocide, which we're likely not getting otherwise

It's very possible! I am still a little skeptical of a "former acquaintance," especially the type who would first go to Jewish Insider and only after the story broke. If this were true why weren't you running to outlets with this info when Platner entered the race?

Yeah at this point I'm hoping someone else can rise to the moment (maybe Daira Smith-Rodriguez?) so I don't have to complain about Collins or Mills for the next 6 years

She speculated and said she thought he would know that it was, but did not say he definitely knew

Yeah I guess it's whether you believe him when he says he didn't know it was a nazi tattoo. I believe him, so it's eminently more forgivable for me than for someone who doesn't believe him.

If you've been following him closely it's very obvious he's not a nazi, so a lot of us would still rather have him than someone that's gonna vote like another Schumer

Mainer here - he's connected the most with the people, especially with the anger that everyone feels because he feels it, too. He backs his anger with good progressive policy and has felt like the only one rising to meet the moment
October 22, 2025 at 12:35 PM
Yeah, for sure. I'll be ranking him first in the primary.

Another Mainer here - he disclosed the tattoo to the media himself once he found out it was a nazi tattoo and has already said he's getting it removed. From my perspective, he's being honest and accountable, and I'll still be ranking him in the primary.

Fetterman is completely unable to take criticism or self-reflect, and doubles down when challenged. Platner's had a lot of shit from his past brought up and has been pretty accountable for it, so I don't really see them as similar personalities at all
October 21, 2025 at 8:32 PM
I'd still rather hire him than a pro-genocide corporate dem.
October 21, 2025 at 8:27 PM
How do you know he's any good at understanding manufacturing if you don't even know who he is?
