It's just to the point where going to the website (Xidax built my last one) and selecting what I want is enough. I don't have to prove anything and I can get what I want. They'll usually even leave me extra power/data cables because I tell them I'm going to be adding drives immediately.

I've built my own PC before (2004), and while that was empowering, I don't really feel like doing it again. I've done it, I know I can do it, but now I don't have to do it. (1/2)

I'm not sure that they considered whether or not it would destroy industries. They just realized they could make one more dollar today and went for it.

I always feel good when I solve a mystery before the end, then I realize that I only had like 5 suspects to pick from, instead of everybody who was in LA or SF or whatever city in or around the time of the murder.
