Bio: Diktgymnasiet is an artist and writer that lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. Their work, for the most part made in the sick bed, uses language as material, addressing self-care, chronic illness and disability justice.

In addition to enabling the artist's continuous work, this also offers an opportunity for the art organization to pay closer attention to internal work environment issues and stress management, which in turn provides important knowledge that can be used outside of the project.

In parallel, the project collects practical knowledge about the possibilities and limitations a chronically ill and disabled artist faces during an art production. An important aspect of CRIP is that Diktgymnasiet has been employed part-time by Konstfrämjandet Västmanland.

Life in One Room is made by Diktgymnasiet, and produced by Konstfrämjandet Västmanland. This work is part of the art project CRIP, which looks into how an art institution can work with artists with chronic illness and disabilities.

The title Life in One Room refers to the artist's apartment which they seldom is able to leave, due to the chronic illness M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis). The illness is both cognitively and physically disabling and that experience forms the basis for this work.
