Star Trek Next Generation Enterprise-D new #banncars poster!
I gave it an "anime" twist with the paneling and reflections. Trying to make it my own a little bit.

Listening to a dummy on NPR talking about how art is not subjective (and that Conservatives taking art out of museums is just in good taste of knowing what good art is) and how good art is never political... let me see what Delacroix thinks of that...

What I hear when I see this- 1) He says he has friends... right. 2) These "friends" are so Beverly Hills poor that they don't live in gated compounds & don't valet their cars? Wow, slumming it with the dregs, Donny? 3) He's a traitor to the USA and to democracy as a whole.
Trump: "Beverly Hills, I have friends, they leave their trunk open for their car bc they know they're going to be vandalized. They don't want trunk ripped off in order for them to steal what's in their bag. They leave doors open so when they go in to steal the radio, they don't rip off the door"

Look at them, always preaching State Rights only when it benefits the dismantling of things they dislike, otherwise they want an Un-American Totalitarian Federal Government controlling all aspects of life and demanding fealty from all. Get outta here, SteMi!
I know it's super inconvenient for everyone trying to go to work and get the kids into summer camps and all that, but the White House is literally trying to start a civil war

It feels like I'm right back at Comics Camp!!
At Alaska Comics Camp, a pal asked me to write up a guide to hand-lettering/hand-drawing word balloons. Here it is, in case it’s helpful!

The current Federal (Trump) Administration is bringing this unrest to the people, they are the ones causing the fear & violence... In the bigger picture, I believe they are attempting a coup of this nation by using "health & safety" as a ruse to deploy the military to take control of the populace.

I can't tell you what it meant to me as a Cuban(/Spanish)-American kid growing up in LA, constantly having my cultural background dismissed ("You speak Spanish, so you're Mexican."), to watch I Love Lucy, to see & HEAR someone who sounded like my parents... great listen.

The success of I Love Lucy is often credited to Lucille Ball's comedic talent, but biographer Todd Purdum says Arnaz was more than just "second banana" to Lucy. He also helped shape the modern sitcom.
With 'I Love Lucy' and beyond, Desi Arnaz helped shaped TV as we know it

I listened to Saunders' "The Barber's Unhappiness" a few months ago & the honorable Mr. Cliff & I spoke about it then. It's one of the best pieces of writing I've experienced in recent or distant memory. I WAS screaming the entire time! It's infuriatingly real, funny, & painful to read. It's great!
Do you enjoy screaming continuously while you read or listen to a work of fiction?

Then I cannot more heartily recommend "The Barber's Unhappiness," a short story in George Saunders' PASTORALIA.

(The audiobook is especially good.)

I love thinking of time as a sliding scale... me as a kid in the 80s watching the George Reeves 1950s SUPERMAN (and loving it) is like a kid today watching BATMAN the ANIMATED SERIES. 30 years of separation in both cases.

What Senator Cory Booker is doing right now is a heroic action. A politician actually speaking out against Trump and in defense of our Democracy and Union

This is a hell of a read. I kept checking to see if it was a "satire piece" but no, it's all real.
In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

I really like this way of thinking that SF Giants president and former player Buster Posey has-
"Posey has often said that people in his position are in the "memory-making business," a nod to his belief that these aren't just baseball teams they're overseeing, but civic institutions."

Sad news as it's been announced that this is the final season of Solar Opposites.
My first official, and last, season storyboarding on the show- a great crew, fun episodes which I hope you all enjoy, tight schedules, new friendships, and we have a sweet softball team too!!
Sad news: season 6 is going to be the last for Solar Opposites. Obviously bummed, but also excited for you to see what we've been working on. We've got funny alien antics and insane drama in the Wall, coming this fall on Hulu.
