Another story in the series. It covers the stretch of the uranium haul route through Utah, which includes the Ute Mountain Ute Tribes community in White Mesa. They are located 5 miles south of the uranium mill, where the uranium from the Pinyon Plain Mine is transported azmirror.com/2025/01/30/t...

I drove the route that uranium ore will travel from the Pinyon Plain Mine near the Grand Canyon to the country's only operating uranium mill near Blanding, Utah. This is the first story in the series about that route and the communities the uranium will travel through. azmirror.com/2025/01/27/u...

She gave me 18 wonderful years, and I hope she knew that I loved her every single day. Beanie was with me through countless life events, from our home on the rez to our temporary homes in the city. She lived a long and fulfilling life, and I will miss her dearly. She will always be my Beanie Baby.

I finished driving the Pinyon Plain Mine’s approved uranium haul route yesterday. I drove the entire route from near the Grand Canyon to Utah. I talked to tribal communities along the way before concluding at the uranium mill in White Mesa, Utah. Here are some pictures from the last section in Utah.

I was out reporting today in the Western and Northern agencies of the Navajo Nation, traveling along the approved Uranium Haul Route from Pinyon Plain Mine. The full story to come once I complete my trip. Tomorrow, I head to the Ute Mountain Tribes land in Utah. Here are a few photos from today.
