I am hoping, among all the madness, there are some pretty good people who were led astray and regret it. But those people need to make amends to their family, their neighbors, and their community. You don't get redemption just because you said "oopsie my bad". You need to work on it to be genuine.

I see performative Christianity everywhere I go. The "Gospel Signs Made Here" guy is not the one feeding the homeless in the park on Sundays. He's the one telling everyone else to do things his way or go to hell.

Oh sure Republicans have about 10,000 pedophiles in their ranks but Dems had Anthony Wiener and Al Franken so both sides are the same.

Longview WA is a good example of that second point. We have seen only about a dozen ships all year at our big fancy log port and now those huge piles of logs are spoiling in the weather. Eventually we are going to have to admit this is a problem.
