I think the power of CGI is wasted on "live action" remakes, because as good as they can get, they just won't match real life and they don't even have to. So many great stories were told just through regular old animation... Then live action was its own thing.

And also like...maybe not a "willingness" as that implies more volition, but like, a forced reckoning that life is complicated and some things/ideas need to be able to be held together, even if it's uncomfortable, for there to be more of a wholistic understanding.
