In english: in France we locally have tiny kiosks here and there where people can freely donate or retrieve books for free. Apparently this was controversial enough to some people who decided to hire others to "burn" them.

Nonetheless I am now very curious about the direction taken by the tv-show. The books felt so visceral. So bleak.
I'm "appreciating" (huuuuge quotes) the deeply complex relationship between June and Serena but I'm extremely intrigued by the roads taken in the adaptation.

It's hard to rate such a book, especially since the events are so intertwined with their faith, but I think Shari's message of resilience and wisdom should be something to be heard and respected. There is no ethical family vlogging
