Companies are always trying to appease that miserable group known as shareholders. Once shareholders get convinced something is the 'next big trend' they all hop on and hype it up in hopes of selling to a bigger fool before the bubble pops.

General consensus from software developers is that AI can potentially be a useful tool if it is specialized for it's task and used responsibly...
